Maria studied Biophysics and Quantitative Molecular Biology at the Humboldt University in Berlin, focusing on computational biology and machine learning applications to neurodegenerative diseases. She is pursuing a PhD in the Johann Lab, where she uses bioinformatics techniques for multi-omic characterization of various pediatric cancers, particularly eMRT and AT/RT. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, traveling, and training in taekwondo.
