BZKF Translational Group for Liquid Biopsy project (12/2025)
TRACE is an interdisciplinary research program focused on understanding and preventing metastatic progression in highly aggressive pediatric tumors. It is funded by a translational research group (lead: P.Johann) of the Bavarian German Cancer Center (BZKF) with 500.000.A central objective of TRACE is to establish liquid biopsies as an integral component of tumor therapy, enabling early detection of disease dynamics, informed treatment decisions, and timely anticipation of relapse and metastatic spread.

Wilko Weichtert fellowship to Marlena Mucha (09/2025)
Congratulations to Marlena for becoming the Augsburg-based recipient of the BZKF Wilko Weichert Young Scientist Fellowship 2026! Marlena will use the acquired funds for her project on the influence of the DICER1 protein on chromatin regulation in paediatric cancers.
